You hear it everywhere. The Affordable Care Act is going to lead to a part-time job avalanche, as employers maneuvers to avoid the provisions requiring them to participate.
It's all bullshit. I have known for some time now that the increase in part-time jobs peaked in 2008-09, and has been declining ever since. Period. What we are witnessing is nothing more than the latest form of scare tactics to convince us that comprehensive health care coverage is the end of civilization as we know it.
The same argument we heard about Social Security, Medicare and, more recently, Medicare Part D.
As I have said many times, the people most often wrapping themselves in the flag are those trying to hide what is underneath.
